Assignment One:Unit Two

Some definitions of information that I obtained are the communication or reception of knowledge or intelligence, knowledge obtained from investigation, study, or instruction, and the act of informing against a person. to obtain these definitions of information I typed definition of information into google's search engine and clicked on the link to Merriam-Webster online dictionary, because I was thinking about what website could give me the best description of the definition of information but at the same time give a broad enough definition to best describe it for what it's used for in the action of research. Viewing the module on information somewhat changed my thought process about what information truly is, by elaborating more on what the techniques for finding and where to go to find the information relating to what you're searching for. There's a lot more to information than what everyone believes once you get away from the most general ideas and definitons of information. The program delicious will change the definition of web information in the sense that information on the web tagged on with the program delicious won't be jest a bunch of keywords as much as information on the web has been.

What specific definition or definitions did you find? You gave me specifics about your search, which is good, but what was the outcome?

Does information change because of your growing ability to manage it? Or does this simply make existing information more accessible to you? Alternately, would web 2.0, with its interactivity allow you to see information differently? Now that you can not just read and react to information, but participate in its creation? All questions to consider.

You write: "The program delicious will change the definition of web information in the sense that information on the web tagged on with the program delicious won't be jest a bunch of keywords as much as information on the web has been." this is not clear.
